Universities Union Braces For Another Breath-Taking Strike Battle

Universities seem to be bracing up their sleeves and trousers for another Industrial action. The government’s failure to implement their agreement is like a bitter pill to swallow on the part of the four unions in the Universities.Non-academic staff unions have scheduled their National Executive Council meeting for this week to consider what is necessary in a slyly times like this.The Leaders of ASUU are likely to meet between November 10 and 12.

 

ASUU and other unions suspended its strike on the promise that the government will make the money available on or before the end of October. Although there have been reports that the government has approved an unspecified amount of money to meet the demands of the various union but ASUU President,Biodun Ogunyemi reportedly stated that none of his Union members would subscribe to those hearsay until it is brought into effect.
