It was reportedly stated that the National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA) welcomed 167 stranded Nigerians from Libya on Monday in Boeing 737-800 aircraft with Registration Number 5A-DMH. It arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 7:47 p.m.
The returnees comprised 21 Adult females,one child and 145 Adult Males. The International Organisation for Migration, IOM, and the European Union, EU helped them out to Nigeria.The Director-General of NEMA, Mustapha Maihajja, said that three of them had medical cases and received Immediate treatment from doctors and paramedics.He underscored that two of the returnees are now in a stable condition.
He urged the returnees to acquire vocational skills or further their education to make positive inputs to national development.
