3,500 Candidates were Admitted Instead of 8,000 NUC Approved – LASU VC

The vice – chancellor Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Lanre Fagbohun has stated that lack of infrastructures was the main reason that made the institution not to admit the 8,000 candidates approved by the National Universities Commission, NUC for 2017/2018 academic session.

The VC stated this at the LASU land regularization exercise with stakeholders that revealed that over 75% of the institution’s land was encroached upon. “Our decision to admit only 3,500 candidates as against the 8,000 approved by NUC was due to limitation of space. So, the exercise will help us reclaim LASU land back that will enable more infrastructures set up,” said the LASU VC.
